Pitching The Ripken Way covers fastball grips, the importance of observing before teaching, the importance of being able to throw fastballs for strikes, teaching mechanics from the wind-up and stretch, evaluating mechanics, off-speed and breaking pitch grips and mechanics, an analysis of how different types of pitches move, pickoffs and fielding position. The DVD includes approximately 60 minutes of instruction geared toward players and coaches of all age groups as well as additional "bonus" footage. Cal and Bill Ripken are joined by Ripken Baseball lead pitching instructor John Habyan, who played in the big leagues for 11 seasons and has been instructing at Ripken Baseball camps and clinics since 1999.
